Sabrina J. Swenson

Filmmaker. Technologist. Product Leader.

For over 25 years, I have operated at the intersection of creative storytelling and cutting-edge technology. My dual-track career has resulted in producing over 50 films, receiving 30+ industry awards, and earning two Emmy Nominations for editing.

The Storyteller

My creative roots run deep. Mentored by Oscar-nominated Disney filmmaker William Bacon III, I co-directed Tibet: Hope and directed the award-winning feature Grandmother Drum. My work extends to music as a founding member of the rock band Rebuttals (1996-2013), where our soundtracks won "Best Editing" at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

The Technologist

Beyond the edit bay, I am a recognized leader in media technology. Recruited by FAST Multimedia to launch the next generation of non-linear editing, I later joined AVID Technology, rising to Principal Product Owner.

In this role, I led a team of 12 software developers to design AVID’s Remote Post Production solutions, supporting the complex workflows of clients like Walt Disney, Netflix, and FOX Entertainment.

The Next Chapter

In 2025, I returned to my roots with Swenson Media Group. Combining recent studies in Computer Science and Script Analysis with deep industry experience, I now consult on AI workflows and develop custom software while producing new film and music projects.
